Yue Fei 岳飛 was a famous general and patriotic hero who lived during the Southern Song Dynasty. He bravely defended the Song Dynasty of the Middle Kingdom during wars against the northern Khitan Liao and Jurchen Jin invaders.

Yue Fei's famous motto tattooed across his back - "精忠報國" jīng zhōng bào guó; literally means to "serve the country with the utmost loyalty". He literally died from his loyalty while serving his country - as he was framed and murdered by his own Emperor and corrupt officials.

A master of martial arts and weaponry, Yue Fei was posthumously honoured and remembered by the people as the epitome of loyalty and possibly the greatest Chinese general of all time.
